Carbohydrate consumption is one of the most misunderstood and misused nutritional components. Wether a trainer working with your clients on physique and health enhancement or a strength coach looking to optimise performance in your athletes, getting carbohydrate intake right is a critical, but often missed target.
There are so many opinions, camps and perspectives on how much carbohydrate you should eat and from which sources, that getting confused, or worse, invested in the wrong aproach, can be a hugely costly mistake. This session will provide you with the acurate, up to date and objective data, as well as the in-the-trenches experience and perspective from my nearly 18 years of experience.
I am not a "low carb guy" or a "high carb guy". I have some of my athletes aim for more than 600g of carbs per day, and others less than 35g. I've had people on keto and the exact same person but a few months later pounding puffed rice after workouts. There is no such thing as "THE" right answer with regards to carb intake, there is only the best approach for a particluar individual at a particular time. That is why understanding the physiology and chemistry of carbohydrates is a critical skill for a coach or trainer.
